The Blueberry Patch
T H I R T E E N Blueberry bushes are in!!! #TeamBaughn hit the finish line last night! This 4×44 foot permaculture berm has 7 different types of blueberries, early/mid/late bloomers and harvests, a combination of WILD blueberries, rabbit eye, Northern high bush and 
Southern and it will mitigate 
water issues from the truck accident that destroyed the water flow in our 
backyard. Woo hoo!!! I am feeling blessed, highly favored, exuberant, and confident – we put in tremendous work, amended 176 square feet of brick hard Tennessee red clay and finally, when all was properly done, PLANTED 13 gorgeous blueberry bushes! We got it in a few hours before a gentle 
rain began! Perfect, but I am telling you, blood, sweat, blisters and now bliss! We still have to check placement of blueberries after the rain, work more amendments in, MULCH HEAVILY and figure out any additional things with the “rain garden blueberry berm!” Always check and double check your plan, rain and reality can spoil a long thought out plan!

sun and it was the getirdun hydrating fuel our bodies needed to persevere through hot, muggy, blistering days of work! We were even able to help our sweet mail lady who was overcome by heat and thirst yesterday, and we CONFIDENTLY handed her a cold bottle of Hydrate and new it would refresh her and get her to her finish line. She took a few sips and said, “This is already working.” When you live in the South, you need solutions – will never be without it!
