Planning The Permaculture

Today, we finally start digging the fruit guilds! Y’all, this permaculture adventure is really a planning, soil amending, study each tree, nutrition, Microbiome of the soil, size, shape, yield, tips and tricks! A ton of thought and planning has gone into every single placement and part of this permaculture, water mediating plan!

Delays with timing, storms, crazy wind, commitments, finding our water line and rerouting out WHOLE plan, then our neighbor rerouted her garden and decided to remove trees – with a plan for new trees, which of course, caused us to go back to the drawing board!

Our goal is to give our trees what they need, and be in harmony with our neighbors! That is not a small job on our 1/5 of an acre! If at all possible, be at peace with all men (Romans 12:18). If thought out ahead of time, and examined thoroughly, the permaculture tree guild will fare well and be a beautiful addition to our lovely neighborhood and give a bounty of beautiful fruits! I am looking for a win win on every level!

This time I was smart enough to make protein snacks ahead, for ready fuel for the hard labor of clearing grass, a path and digging.

This will take a few days, and of course, I will share progress pics! Half of this would have been done already – but the water line runs through the backyard! It is all good, as it is a more complete plan now!
