don’t know, who won’t care anyway! You begin to leave the rat race behind. A frugal, simple life can mean a whole new freedom. Or, it can represent drudgery, anger and a feeling of non-stop deprivation clawing at your sanity. It can be a hard, harsh time, a time of despondency and fear. We can fret and fuss about the reasons, long for our old lives, where things were easier, and regret current decisions or realities. Beloved – the choice is OURS! Like Paul, we can choose “Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Phil 3:13-14 NASB. We have choices in how we wrap our minds around the seasons of our lives. Will we make lemonade out of our new lemons, or will we leave them on the back porch to rot?
